Coronavirus… effects on business

The recent outbreak of the Covid-19 virus has had a massive effect on economies and businesses. Businesses have had to navigate the financial and operational challenges of coronavirus while rapidly addressing the needs of their people, customers and suppliers. Whilst trying to direct the unexpected impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am proud to say that my businesses and employees have been a key part of adapting the businesses. With an everchanging market, adapting to changes is a key feature within both the business itself and team members. Within TLC Private School, we moved all of the staff and students to ‘Microsoft Teams’ in order to allow them to continue their education online, preventing a gap in their education.

Although it was not an easy ride and is certainly not over yet, the first wave lockdown came with its ultimate drawbacks however, it was an opportunity for me to reflect and put my focus on new goals and business challenges. Quarantine led to the introduction of Elea High, online school, whilst moving the main school online, seeing some students flourish through online learning, I was inspired to create an online learning environment similar to that of the physical school based in Cyprus.

With the landscape changing in recent weeks, and the pandemic continuing to peak in some areas and returning in others, amidst this uncertainty, companies are being made to reinvent their process. Companies now must consider the pandemic’s progress and adapt to make their businesses suit the current and upcoming environment.
